We are selling our home in Northern Virginia, buying a trailer, and driving around the country for about a year. This blog will carry our thoughts and plans as we begin to chart this new adventure. Please give us your feedback and recommendations. Feel free to tell us the places we “can’t miss” along the way.

    Hey Danine,

Love the blog! I am really looking forward to hearing/reading about your adventures out and about! It’s amazing, but you and I have been thinking about similar things lately: homeschooling and Disney at Halloween!

Best of luck with the planning.

    Hello,
I stumbled upon your blog while researching Airstreams. We too are planning our see North America trip for the next year. We have a 28-ft. International picked out and plan to start our journey in late July.
We, too have a young daughter who will be traveling and schooling on the road with us.
It will be interesting to read of your adventures while I too write about ours.
Please feel free to email me!

    Neener, Bobby, and Elise,

Thanks for the update. Sounds like such a cool trip you guys are going on. We’ll be reading up on your adventures, so have a great time and enjoy the next year. If you’re coming thru Roanoke let us know…take care and God bless.

PS: Loved the BOWEL registration name story…that is classic.

Hi Bobby, Mom told me about your trip - I’m really excited for you and the family. We are in Charlotte, NC now. Looks like you were already through here but if you are ever back in the neighborhood please call us!! My husband, Kevin, and I have two girls, Kelly, 7 and Jody, 5. I’ll get the girls to get to know Elise through the website. Enjoy your incredible journey!!

We have tons of pix on our website - some links are password protected - userid and password are both “fawcett” in all lowercase. We’re off to New Zealand for Christmas and will post those pix when we return. Other than that we are up to our necks in school and Girl Scouts.

It’s great to see you guys in the blog! Happy Traveling!

    Carrie

Hey Welsh’s!!! Sounds like you guys are having such a cool time. Aimee and I had a recommendation if you are going to be in the Corpus Christi area during Christmas. Go to Joe Cotton’s retaurant in Robstown for genuine Texas BBQ. Aimee’s mom grew up in Corpus and Joe Cotton’s is a favorite stop on visits.

Merry Christmas!! We got your Christmas Card today. Thanks! Hope you have a great Christmas.

    Bobby, Aimee, Jonathan and Chiara.

PS Emily says a big Hiiiiii to Elise!

    Hi Bobby, Danine, and Elise,
Last week I visited with your Mom and Dad after mass and asked for your website. My mom mentioned your adventure to me several times and I just wanted to check it out. When I have time at work I go on the site and neb around. Your trip is the adventure of a lifetime and I am traveling along with you to capture all the highlites. Phil and I have always talked about a trip similar to this but the key is to do it when the kids are young. Teenagers do not want to travel ‘cross country with their parents. No way! No how!
I will keep in touch and stay safe.
    Your cousin,

    Julie
